The 2nd Experts’ Meeting on Cultural Policy gathered 23 policymakers, researchers and cultural policy experts from Asia, Europe and Australia to explore areas of mutual interest and common relevance for intra-Asia and Asia-Europe dialogue in arts and culture.

The meeting was organised in the framework of WorldCP – International Database of Cultural Policies, which was launched on 3 October 2011 at the 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture (3-6 October 2011, Melbourne). WorldCP is a web-based and contunuously updated database of country-specific profiles of cultural policies, supported by ASEF. WorldCP-Asia is a central component of WorldCP-International Database of Cultural Policies and will specifically focus on ASEM member countries in the coming years.

Creative industries, heritage and arts education were identified as three key areas for future bi-regional dialogue by the participating experts.

The next edition of the Experts' Meeting will be organised in 2012.
