DEEP ASEM Education Database

The Database on Education Exchange Programmes (DEEP) is a flagship programme of the ASEM Education Hub. It was officially launched on 13 April 2007 in Singapore, in celebration of ASEF’s tenth anniversary. It has been made possible through the support of the Japanese government and with the contribution of the following partners: the International Association of Universities (IAU) and the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) for the content, and Sequence Design International for the technical aspect. It serves as an online information platform on cross-regional exchanges for university students in ASEM partner-countries.

On the DEEP portal, users will be able to access: universities from the ASEM partners organised by country and by field of study (over 7,000 higher education institutions), scholarships and exchange programmes available from the country of origin and preferred country of destination, official agencies assisting foreign students, a short description of Asian and European education systems, entry requirements and credit recognition procedures anecdotes and stories from students experiences of studying in Asia and Europe.

DEEP aims to promote greater awareness of study opportunities among students in Asia and Europe and to encourage mobility within ASEM’s academic community. For more information about DEEP, please visit http://deep.asef.org
